Empty Bowls

All are invited to a simple meal of soup and bread served from 5-7 p.m.

Youth Action Hudson (YAH) is partnering with United Methodist Church of Hudson, various youth organizations and other partners to host an Empty Bowls Dinner

Donation: $10

Guests will choose a handcrafted pottery bowl for their meal and to keep;

the bowl serves as a reminder of all hungry people throughout our community

-- and the world.

Youth at HUMC got together recently to make the bowls that will be used at the dinner.

Proceeds will benefit local teens and young adults at Grace Place and Our Neighbor’s Place

Empty Bowls Quilt

The SEWMUCHNEED group from the United Methodist Church is getting blocks ready for the upcoming Empty Bowls event on March 25^th. Blocks will be sold for $1.00 and people will be asked to put messages or drawing on the blocks about hunger and homelessness. The blocks will then be assembled by the SEWWMUCHNEED group and the quilt will be auction off at the 2011 Empty Bowls event.
