What is an Apportionment?

The United Methodist Church is unique and a defining factor is that we are connectional. One way we show this connection is through apportioned giving.  Apportioned giving is a term which describes how the money you give to Hudson United Methodist Church each week is divided and distributed throughout the United Methodist Church. Through you and your support of appotrioned giving, we are able to participate in the ministry and mission of the United Methodist Church both locally and around the world.  When you give to Hudson United Methodist Church, your giving is divided into many pieces and travels to may different places. It generally goes to support three significant areas: Hudson United Methodist Church, the General and Jurisdictional Church Funds, and the ministires of the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church. Did you know 91.9% of your giving stays in Hudson United Methodist Church, 2.6 % of your giving goes to the General and Jurisdictional Church Funds and 6.5% of your giving goes to support the ministries of the Wisconsin Conference.
