Pastor Dan Fahs
Pastor Dan believes worship is central to Christian life. Worship refreshes and refills us so that we can reach out to others with the Great-Good News. Pastor Dan is passionate about seeing lives transformed in response to a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. He feels strongly that a church fails to be The Churchif it is not mission driven by putting our faith into action. In addition to reaching out to others, Pastor Dan believes everyone can grow more in love with God and experience a deep spiritual relationship. He enjoys leading Bible study groups in which knowledge is not only learned but applied.
Rev. Susan Amann, Deacon
Ministries of compassion and justice are at the heart of Rev. Susan Amann’s ministry as an ordained Deacon. She lives out her calling by bridging the needs of the world to the church and vice versa. In the secular setting, she does this as a clinical social worker. Her primary ministry is at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN, as a Palliative Care Clinical Social Worker. There, she supports patients and their loved ones as they navigate serious and chronic illness, life-limiting diseases, and medical crises. She empowers patients to have a voice in their care, breaks down harmful stereotypes and preconceived notions about marginalized populations, and advocates for a whole-person, integrated, mind-body-spirit approach to care.
Her past clinical social work ministry includes mental health crisis intervention, mental health case management, psychotherapy in private practice and within the corrections system, general medical social work, and social work with those with dementia and their caregivers.
Rev. Susan has been appointed to Hudson UMC since 2013. She preaches, teaches and leads small groups, and provides pastoral care and hospital visits. Prior to being appointed as clergy, she was the Director of Children’s and Family Ministry at HUMC.
Rev. Susan has been a mentor to clergy for six years and currently serves as the CO-Chair of the Wisconsin Conference Order of Deacons. She is a member of the Board of Ordained Ministry.
She completed her seminary education at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and earned a masters degree in clinical social work from the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University. She is licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin as a clinical social worker.
In her free time, she enjoys time with her family, the outdoors, cooking, crochet and knitting, and taking her little dog for walks.
